About MNCSI

Mother Nature CSI is a podcast that takes a look at how people and nature survive – in a world bombarded with natural and man-made disasters with an emphysis on California and the West Coast.

We look at current and past disasters and how they shape the world we live in now – and in the future.  Everything from earthquakes, hurricanes and volcano eruptions to oil spills, killer fog, and nuclear fallout! We’ll even take you back to past disasters in our “dispatches” to hear first-hand stories from those involved.

I’m Patty Lane your host…I love all things geology and as a reporter for national, international and local broadcast news I covered major storms, volcano eruptions, riots, tsunami warnings and oil spills.  On MotherNature CSI you’ll hear from experts to help us understand disasters, how to live through them and from people working on the front lines during disasters. We will also look at what role climate change plays!
